DID YOU KNOW that your insurance agent/broker needs to be aware of changes that you make to your home?? Did you build an addition? Did you build a detached garage? Did you put in a swimming pool? Do you run a small business or daycare from home? Did you purchase an original Van Gogh painting?

Your agent needs to be aware of any changes in order to make sure that you are adequately covered in the event of a loss. Any one of the above changes, not told to your insurance agent, could mean a denial of your claim.

DID YOU KNOW that if you go away during the winter months, you need to have a competent person checking on your home after the first four days?? Freezing plumbing pipes are only covered if, "heat is being maintained during the usual heating season". If the furnace goes out, the pipes freeze and no one has been in the home in five days, your claim can be denied.
